Art Deco period shallow bowl with beautiful finish imitating a polished mineral or hard stone.

W.M.F. (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) founded 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige.The company were originally opened as a metal repairing workshop.The company evolved aquiring additional  already established companies each with their own specialisations which were then incorporated into their own production.Famous for their metal ware W.M.F also had a glass works.Durring the 1920s & 30s a range of decorative metal objects were introduced using various patinating & eletroplating techniques,also using the trade name ICORA.A range of modernist design jewellery was also created sometimes combining irredescent glass beads.
